In Year 5, we base our work around Article 29 of the UNCRC, respecting children’s right to an education that helps them to use and develop their talents and abilities.
From the beginning, we learn the importance of respecting both ourselves and each other and we strive to be the best we can be throughout all areas of school life (UNCRC Article 6). From learning to ride our bikes safely to taking part in an inter-school Shakespeare project, we have a very packed, exciting and creative curriculum. We do lots of investigations and open-ended work so that our ideas and minds are stretched. We use the International Primary Curriculum as the basis of our cross curricular work and love working both independently and as part of teams. Year 5 is a wonderful place to be!
