The nursery children had a wonderful time conducting an experiment to explore items that were light and heavy, inspired by The Three Little Pigs. They compared different materials, like feathers and blocks, to see which were easier to “blow down,” just like the Big Bad Wolf in the story. The highlight of the activity was having the Year 4 teacher (who is the science lead) join in, sharing insights and making the experiment even more exciting. The children were thrilled to test their predictions and work together, blending storytelling with hands – on learning.
