Chestnut Class visited the British Museum as part of our work on The Kingdom of Benin. We learnt about life in the Kingdom of Benin and discussed how the Benin Bronzes had been seized by the British. Many are now housed in the British Museum, although some museums are sending them back to Nigeria. We sketched the bronzes and other artefacts in the Museum. Back in school we wrote an argument about whether the Bronzes should be returned.
