For our ‘maths and art’ hall art, Sycamore class worked really hard on a painting and weaving project, creating our own circular looms and then weaving with coloured yarn. We were inspired by Kandinsky’s ‘Concentric Circles’ studies to create the backgrounds and had to mix primary colours to produce the secondary and tertiary shades we wanted. Some children stuck to a ‘cool’ or ‘warm’ colour palette while some of us mixed both. After all the hard work, we were delighted with the results!
