Acorn Class have loved reading the traditional story of the Gingerbread Man. They used Modelling dough to create ginger-scented dough. We used rolling pins, cutters and baking trays. We made our own bakery role-play area for children to extend their ideas and add in other stories about food to explore as they play.
Acorn children had a go at baking their own Gingerbread men. They did this in small groups and were able to measure out the ingredients and follow the instructions. Unfortunately one of the Gingerbread men escaped and we had to plan how to capture him!
