As part of our Lunar New Year celebrations, some very lucky children were chosen to visit Chinatown. We explored the local area and learnt about some of the customs and popular places to shop, visit and eat.
We visited some gift shops and supermarkets.
We had lunch at an amazing Chinese restaurant.
Jimmy surprised the children by arriving to join us as our special guest!!!
The food was delicious! Yummy!
The children practiced using chopsticks , even Jimmy had a go. He did really well so did the children.
We saw the hotel that Jimmy used to work in and some magnificent carp fishes in a pond at one of the restaurants.
We had lots of fun and learnt a lot about another culture.
At school some classes were able to take part in some cooking . We made stir fried noodles with vegetables.
